    Yes, you can add up to 5 external battery packs for additional runtime.

    Options for monitoring and managing your UPS include EcoStruxure IT, SmartConnect, Network Management Card and PowerChute.

  • Do all models come with a preinstalled Network Management Card?

    Select models with an "NC" suffix come with the network management card preinstalled (i.e. SMX750NC, SMX1500RM2UCNC).

  • How does the 'green' mode operating mode increase efficiency?

    APC’s patented ‘green’ mode bypass components that perform AVR when not needed. This results in higher efficiencies across a wide range of load conditions.

    Yes, eventually all Smart-UPS models will include connectivity to EcoStruxure IT. However, because of the large number of Smart-UPS models we anticipate this transition will take many months.
