The Silex SD-330AC-1402 is a FIPS 140-2 certified wireless / wired LAN Serial Device Server as well as an Ethernet to Wi-Fi Bridge which securely connects devices equipped with the RS-232C serial interfaces and/or the Ethernet into any network eliminating the need for wired connection between the devices and the computers. Medical devices, printers, scanners or virtually any other device with a serial port or an Ethernet port can now be enabled with secure and robust LAN network capability.

Security | FIPS 140-2 cryptographic operation

SD-330AC-1402 enables medical devices, printers, scanners or virtually any other device with a serial port or an Ethernet port to secure the transport of personal confidential data and ensure the integrity of electronic data over a Wi-Fi wireless network as per FIPS 140-2 requirements.

In FIPS 140-2 mode, FIPS 140-2 certified WLAN authentication WPA2-PSK can be used, and WLAN communication is encrypted by AES CCMP. When customers use applications such as TCP port serial services, eCable client service and so on, the end-to-end application security is established by TLS encryption.

Secure wireless LAN environment

Only authentication / encryption methods using the algorithm approved by FIPS 140-2 are available in FIPS mode.

Ethernet - Wi-Fi Wireless bridge mode | Single client mode:

The single client bridge mode of the SD-330AC-1402 allows users to access to a single Ethernet device through the wireless network. The SD-330AC-1402 terminates the wireless connection when the Ethernet device is replaced by another device during the operation.

Multi-client mode:

The multi-client bridge mode of the SD-330AC-1402 allows users to access to multiple Ethernet / serial devices through the Wi-Fi wireless network.

Connectivity | Serial device server over Wireless/Wired LAN | Infrastructure mode:

If there is an existing wireless LAN environment, the SD-330AC-1402 can be used as a wireless station.

AP mode:

The SD-330AC-1402 is equipped with access point mode.

Wired LAN:
