RocketRAID 2700 external-port HBA's were designed to work in conjunction with Rocket EJ Series SATA JBOD Expander and SAS-Expansion modules, which can dramatically expand the storage capability of each Mini-SAS connector.

Simple and Easy Storage Expansion: RocketRAID 2700 series HBA's allow customers to expand capacity and convert existing RAID arrays from one level to another without having to start from scratch: your data remains intact and accessible during the transition! OCE (Online Capacity Expansion) and ORLM (Online RAID Level Migration) features are provided by HighPoint's comprehensive and intuitive web-based user interface, which is available for all major operating systems including macOS, Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and Linux Distributions.

Versatile Storage Solution Modes: HighPoint has introduced a series of Storage Solution Mode software packages for our RocketRAID 272x/271x series of 6Gb/s SAS/SATA PCIe RAID HBA's, each designed to improve system efficiency and deliver a user friendly experience.
There are three Software Packages available for the RocketRAID 2720/2722A, each of which is tailored for a specific range of storage applications; RAID BIOS, Quick BIOS and Non-RAID BIOS Modes.
